The short version: the checklist stays on your device, and uploaded trusts are not stored.
What you can use without an account
There is no login. The Trustee Manual checklist and the one-time chat acknowledgment are saved in your browser's local storage. They do not leave your device unless you later type the same information into the contact form. You can clear them in the browser, or use Reset checklist on the manual.
The contact form
If you send the form, we receive your name, email, phone, county, relationship to the person who died, a short description, your preferred contact method, and the fact that you consented to be contacted. If email delivery is configured, that message is sent to the firm through Resend. If it is not configured, the message is written to the server log so the firm can still see it in development. Do not put account numbers, Social Security numbers, or the trust document in the description.
Chat
Questions you type to Owliver Trust are sent to the server to produce an answer. When the assistant is configured, the text of the conversation needed for that answer is sent to Anthropic's API. We do not save the chat on our server. Anthropic's API terms state that API inputs and outputs are not used to train their models. A simple in-memory limit counts requests by IP address so the tool cannot be flooded. Those counts are not a database of visitors and they disappear when the server process restarts.
Trust uploads
A PDF you upload is read in memory. Text is extracted and, when the tool is configured, sent to Anthropic to produce the summary. The file and the summary are not written to a database or a file store. Do not upload a document if you are not comfortable with that one-time transmission. If the tool is not configured, the server refuses the request before it analyzes the document.
What we do not do
We do not sell personal information. This site does not run a third-party advertising tracker. Hosting logs, which are ordinary for any website, may include IP addresses and pages requested. Those logs belong to the host.
